Downgrading from Premium AP to regular AP

My Premium AP expires in June and I was just wondering...

Does anyone know if I can downgrade to a regular AP and just pay the AP renewal rate? Or do I have to completely purchase a new AP?

A:No you cannot. Disney does not allow downgrading on any current pass. You would be allowed to downgrade from a PAP to an AP upon renewing an expiring pass however.

Edit: It doesn't specifically say you can get the renewal price, but it sounds like it's possible. I have my own dilemma about renewing and upgrading where I had almost the same question about getting the renewal price as opposed to the full price.

When you call to renew your pass, just let them know you would like the AP instead of the PAP. They will then charge you the renewal rate for the AP at that time. You can upgrade or downgrade to any pass when renewing, but you can't renew more then 90 days in advance. (at least in the pass years)

Definately possible, I know you can't do it in the middle of your year but when renewing you can definately state which one you would like to have. We done it a few years back downgraded to to AP, as it works out cheaper to have a seperate annual pass for the water parks.
