DoubleTree Castle Hotel

Does anyone have any information on the DoubleTree Castle Hotel? We have already booked it for a couple of nights before we check in at POR. We are going to US and IOA during those two days. Any info on it is greatly appreciated! THANKS!:wave:

I haven't stayed at the Doubletree Castle, but I have eaten many times at one of the restaurants in front of it (Cafe Tu Tu Tango -- serving all appetizers. It's a fun place to share various appetizers and try lots of stuff.) The location is a nice on on International Drive, and if you go out the side opposide International Drive, you're on Universal Boulevard, which will take you straight to Universal/IOA. The lobby of the Castle is very well-themed, as are the other public areas. I don't know anything about the rooms.

Wife, Son and I stayed for three days in 2004 and loved it. Rooms are nice the pool is nice very good choice.
But be careful outside security is not so good some one was able to get it the trunk of the car and steal my digi camera and laptop:brick: No sign of forced entry must have been pros.
Very nice place you will love it.

Thank you both for your replies. Now that I am comfortable about the rooms, the "parking security" is kinda freaking me out. Hope my car alarm works! Hopefully, everything will be ok. I will make sure I don't leave ANYTHING in the car!

It's always a good idea to make sure you don't leave anything of value in a car, no matter where it's parked.

Hello fellow Alabamian!
I agree! That's good advice for anytime....not just on vacation. We are only staying there a few nights before we move on to POR for 7 nights. I hate the idea of unloading everything (twice!), but that is certainly better than having my car broken into.
