Yes, I know. The NHC releases and update every 3 hours. Next one is at 2.

Looks like it could be a cat 1 or 2 by landfall some where near Dayton - which would not to be good for Orlando. Still to early to tell. My wife has been in Gulf Breeze Fl visiting the son and new grandson do to fly back to Charleston SC on Tuesday she may not make it out depending on where Dorian goes.

Will Disney allow me and a friend of mine to take refuge in the lobby of a resort say, like Wilderness lodge? (Very big room with not many windows) Irma was pretty frightening for me despite only being a cat.1 by the time it got to Orlando. I have a friend coming in at 10PM Saturday. Thankfully, now they’re saying it won’t make landfall until and 2 AM Monday, because I was worried her flight might get canceled. She doesn’t seem to be taking it seriously but I would feel so much safer in a lobby at Disney. I would just Park at Disney Springs and take the bus over.

I would say to 'go for it.' My daughter said that a few ballrooms at the Contemporary during Hurrican Irma had a significant amount of people in them. I don't think Disney employees (probably College Program kids) will be checking Magic Bands or proof of resort occupation. Besides, I think the Disney resorts are built to much higher hurricane-proof standards. A friend of mine in Palm Bay has fled to Disney during several hurricanes over the years for that very reason.

That’s what I was thinking. My mom is begging me not to do it, thinking they’re going to kick me out. But if I can stay in the lobby as long as I want on a normal day, I doubt they’d kick me out during a life threatening storm.

Hopefully Disney will be stocking up on food & beverages. Last time there were reports of some resort food courts running low on food and some guests buying up / hoarding food so there was a scarcity for others.
