Donald's Safari or Rainforest Cafe?

I have ADR for both the day we are at AK. I need to choose one of the two. Donald's is for breakfast @ 9:25 and Rainforest is for early Dinner at 4 :15.
We also have reservations to do Pirates and Pals at Contemporary at 7:45.
We are going to Chef Mickey's early on in our trip. I feel that we will see Donald already. Also I don't want to rush first thing in the morning to get to breakfast on time. It is the last day of our vacation and I feel like it might be rough getting everyone up and out.
I am a little worried about the time for dinner.Thinking it might not be enough time to have dinner and get to Contemporary by around 7:30? Not sure how much time I would need to travel from AK to Contemporary resort.

If you can get an earlier reservation for Donalds Safaris then do that. If not I would keep the dinner reservation. Rushing thru any meal is no fun and something is always bound to put a glitch in your plans. If I were you I would eat at Flametree Bbq for lunch. Tons of food. Then see what reservations are available around the contemporary or other resorts in the area so you can relax and not be pressed for time on your last day.

I am biased here because I love Tusker for breakfast. I love the variety of food at the buffet. I love the characters' costumes. Daisy is there which is a huge plus for us. My kids love marching around the room in the parade; catchy music too. If you don't want to rush in for breakfast, try to get a later seating and do it for lunch. I have never done the lunch myself so I cannot attest to the quality of the food, but the characters are still there and you can go into the park first and do some stuff and then take a nice break for lunch. Plus you won't have to worry about your plans later in the day.

If you decide to keep Rainforest, you should be able to make it to CR in time. Depending on how the bus runs (like if you just miss one or if one pulls up as you approach) you may not have extra time to play with. But I would think it is doable.

We also do Chef Mickey's every trip and don't mind the character repeat. They are both very fun places to eat.

Quick question @Kbullz - do you have any Rainforest Cafe's that you could go to at home? or close to home? I ask b/c we always skip it since we have 3 locally so I make a point to skip what I can get at home.

While I know a lot of people rave about Tusker House, our 1 and only experience was not good. We seem to be the exception and not the rule and I'm willing to give it another chance. There's also only 1 Tusker House, where you may have the opportunity to visit an RFC at any number of spots in the country...so I'd still go with Tusker.

We've always enjoyed Tusker House, and have gone on each trip. Our usual plan is to do reservations at 9:00-9:30 when the park has EMHs from 8 to 9am.

I'm not a huge fan of the Tusker House since they added the character meals, but I'd rather have breakfast there than dinner at RFC. The characters really are adorable in their safari outfits!

You could absolutely eat at 4:15 and be at the Contemporary by 7:45. That's three and a half hours to eat and drive over there. The only problem would be if you took like 2+ hours to eat and you are riding the bus, but the busses weren't running out of the AK. I don't know when you're going. Time-wise, though, you're good.

I like Donald's. :) That gets my choice.

We like to do late breakfast early lunch at Tusker House. 10 - 11 for or ADR start time. We are not fan's of any of the Landry's places. RF, T-rex or Y&Y we can eat that same kind of chain food at home.
