Dole Whip

I'm one that wasn't overly impressed by the Dole Whips. Perhaps like so many other things, I read all the gushing hype on line and then when I finally tasted it, it was like, "Is that all there is?"

They're okay, but I don't see the rabid devotion many have.

I will have to agree. I did think it was good but it was not the crazy unbelievable super fabtabulous life changing desert of all time. It was very refreshing on a hot day though.

Actually Dole whip isn't Ice Cream. Did you guys know that it has no Milk in at all? I know, weird right. I had to find out as I am unfortunately Lactose intolerant. So before we first had it, my Wife and I, back in 1995 on our Honeymoon, I asked. They actually told me that the Dole Whip is really a whipped ICE not an Ice Cream. It tastes and feels like Ice Cream though doesn't it? I love this stuff. I can have it whenever we go there and not get effected by it.

BTW: The easiest way to find the Dole Whip is to go to the Swiss Family Robinson Tree and look across the way from the entrance to the tree and there you go. Enjoy and have extra for all of us.

I had Dole Whip in WDW and DL. I would have to say the one in DL is better, because you get to eat it while you watch the ETR. Also it comes with a maraschino cherry and a Polynesian paper umbrella.

I had my first Dole Whip float and LOVED IT!!!!!:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

Kept on hearing about and walked by the stand twice before I said "What the hey. Might as well see what the whole thing is about." Get it.

Interesting about the fact that there is actually no ice cream.

tried it this last trip, and mind you I'm not a fan of pineapples, and LOVED it. Read lots and lots about it and finally broke down and tried one. DH was dying to try one when I told him about them. Definately look forward to next trip to have another.....:ROFLOL:
