You know those people who go to WDW and come home saying "I'm sure it would have been fun but we just kind of wondered around for a week" ? Well we have some friends who went with some different friends to WDW a few years ago and their trip was similar. They didn't get to enjoy the parks because their friends said "we've seen that" or "we don't do that" or "why would we do that". For instance they didn't watch the fireworks at MK or EPCOT, and they didn't see a single parade nor did they ride the monorail because their friends said it had to be paid for! Not to mention the fact that they stayed off property.

Well last night we helped them get their trip booked to go down with us July 3-8. They wil be staying at POP with us and will have the Deluxe dinning plan. Our goal is to try and show them how much fun WDW is. They want to enjoy it and will love all of the integral details and such but I was wondering what are the things that we MUST show them? I can remember going as an adult for the first time in 2010 and I did tons of homework before we went and we still didn't get to do everything we wanted to do.

So if you have or if you we're to be in our shoes, what things would you most definitely do?

First of all...I find it ridiculous That people who are traveling together cant make time for someone to do things they are interested in...Really Not very cool or considerate. Especially at Wdw where theres so much to see and do.

Very nice of you to take them with you and spread a little Disney magic.....

Man my list is long but here Goes.

Wishes, Main street electrical, A dream Come true and Illuminations..

Pirates , Haunted mansion , Splash mountain, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Space Mountain, Tower Of terror, Rock n rollercoaster, Buzz Lightyear, Tsmm, Star wars (a million times) ...Muppets.

Love to spend time wandering around Main Street , Downtown...Love taking the water taxi from Hollywood Studios to The Boardwalk and getting Ice Cream while watching the street performers...

Look for Hidden Mickeys, Watch The Live bands at Epcot......

Lay Out by the pool with a Frozen Drink or two...Eat a great meal at Epcot..Take the monorail from Mk to epcot...

Gotta See the Friends statue...

This could go on for a Very Long time.

Btw, As a side bar...I once had a Friend who used to make jokes at My expense because I liked to go to Wdw for my Vactions..

He finally said he'd Give it a try like he was doing me a favor.I offered to help him with his plans and he refused.

This guy with a one week vacation Drove his family of 5 from Long Island to Tampa (lost a minimum of 2 days driving round trip)where he stayed with his sister and crashed on her floor for a week.

Went to Mk one day...Got there really late and left after two hours because he got wet and refused to buy ponchos for his kids.....Came home and blamed me for his Ruined family vacation...

He complained about the food, The prices, the Crowds, The Parking, The lines, The Rides...All valid complaints but if the guy took two minutes to make a decent game plan the end result would have been much different.I guess the point is some people will NEVER have a good time no matter what!

My sister-in-law really hates Disney!:( But, she is one of those people who complains about every little thing!
Just go and relax! Have great time! Just let things happen as they come! Yes. Plan ADRs, but it sounds like perhaps too much planning/thinking about it can overwhelm your folks!;)
Character meals: I like Chef Mickey's.:)
