Does Universal Studios Stay Open Later for its Mardi Gras Event?

My group will be at Universal Orlando on a Saturday night in February, so they advertise the park hours as closing at 8:00 p.m., and they sell a special $43 ticket for admission after 5:00. Now I am confused. Does the park close at 8:00 p.m., even with the Mardi Gras event? It is all over at 8:00 p.m.? :lol:

The park closes at 8 with most of the rides, sometimes a few rides right near the front will stay open later. The parade starts at 8 or 9 depending on park closing times and the main concert will begin after that. All restaurants and shops right in the front stay open till the guest leaves, which is generally 10:30 or 11ish. So even though the park closes at 8 you wont leave till much later. Hope that answered your question.
