Does the Magic Kingdom Club still exist?

I use to get a discount through my company by getting a Magic Kingdom Club card. I use to renew it every year and a few years ago they said that the company no longer did it and that each guest had to pay for their own membership and was given a pamphlet. I was going anytime soon so I did not do it. I now don't know how to find out about getting one. I checked the Disney site and could not find anything on it.

Does it still exist and if so how can I get more info?

Thanks,
Mike

It is now called Disney Club... I think it was launched last year sometime. My mom was a MKC member and had the opportunity to switch over a while back. She got a new card, and a pin... so I guess this was when pin trading started gaining steam. Hope this helps...

Until Next Time...

You are correct, but the Disney Club has now been discontinued as well. People who are already members will have their membership honored through the end of this year but they haven't been accepting new applications for several months now. The creation of the Disney Visa is what replaced the Disney Club program.

As was mentioned by others the Disney Club & Magic Kingdom Club no longer exist. Consider applying for a Disney Visa Card. Every now and then special vacation packages are offered to card holders.

Disney Club Member cards are good until the end of 2003.

Ours was going to expire in Sept so we paid 1/4 of the annual membership fee so we can use the card during our October Disney Vacation.

I'm gonna miss that card...lots and lots of discounts.

I'm gonna miss it too. I don't think they have as many perks with the Disney Visa Card, do they? With the Disney Club, we occaisionally get free movie premiers, the website and a lot of discounts. If the Disney Credit Card is similar, I'd consider getting it.

Thanks everyone for the info. Actually I already have the Disney Visa Card. Got it a couple of weeks ago. From what I read in the pamphlet you get 1% of all purchased you make to go towards "Disney Dollars" towards vacation, the Disney Store, etc.

Not sure if you get discounts on hotel and all that. I have to look into it more. But the pamphlet did say that if you charge you Disney Vactation on the card you get zero interest for x amount of time. At least that is what I think it said. That part does not matter to me because we don't like to keep a CC balance at all.

But if I get money towards my trip, that it is good for me. It won't amount to much but if I get a free 7 day hopper before we go, yahoo.

I still hope they offer hotel discounts though. If I find out, I will post about it.

I just went to their site, you can get special deals on packages but did not say what they were on the site. You need to call to see what the current packages are.

I'm both a DC member and have the new Visa too. Gonna miss that DC card tho. I too extended my card to the end of this year to get some of the perks for our October trip.

But I have notices that some of those perks (like discounts on the Disney tours) are starting to show up on the Visa card as well. And I have been told by people from BankOne and from DC that the Visa card will have some of the features we are loosing of the DC card. Take that with a grain of salt although, these were just worker bees, and I doubt they are "in the know" much more so than us.
