Does queue length equal attraction quality?

No. I often see Jungle Cruise with a super long queue time, upwards of 30mins or so while PotC which is a much superior ride with only a 5 minutes wait. Queues have more to do with how fast they can get people on the ride!

Some rides such as BTMRR have long boring queues, but are really good rides. I agree that usually the longer the wait, the better the attraction, same as the fast pass return times are good indicators. Sometimes other factors will change the wait for better or worse, such as short lines for Splash when its cold.
BTMRR just received the enhanced queue upgrade. Youtube looks good but haven't experienced it yet

I'm speaking more about actual physical queue length rather than wait time .. wait time is only a measure of popularity and loading characteristics (ie. capacity), of course. Just a general observation more than anything, really. I suppose it stands to reason that a highly detailed queue would preface an expensive attraction and maybe that's a better conclusion.

Well, some would argue that queue length and wait time go hand in hand. Generally speaking, first impressions indicate that a long line equals longer wait time. I mean, when we're shopping at supermarkets or big general stores and we pick what cashier to check out, well, we generally pick the one with the shortest line for the most part because theoretically, we assume we would wait longer if we entered an already long line. Of course, there are places where you can have a short line but a longer wait! There's also the speed of the line and that depends on probably several things: Pre-shows, safety protocols and checks (Probably more so for roller coaster and thrill rides.) and ride capacity. All I can really is that the length of queue indicates the popularity of rides, so popular even that the park provides Fastpass or other virtual queue services for it. Attraction quality for the most part, is pretty subjective and it all depends on you.
