Does Jiko always have the macaroni and cheese available, even when not on the menu?

Currently the menu for Jiko (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/animal-kingdom-lodge/jiko-the-cooking-place/menus/) doesn't have the bowtie macaroni and cheese accompanied with any of the steak dishes... Of course the macaroni is available as an "enhancement", but that is $14 and not sure we want to do that when it originally came with one of the steak meals.

We are going later in June of this year and are just wondering if anyone has been there when it wasn't explicitly on the menu, but could still get it as a side for the steak dishes?

Every time we’ve been and there was a different side offered for the filet, we’ve always been able to sub the mac and cheese. I would recommend just asking.

Yes I have asked for their delicious Mac and cheese numerous times when it was not currently on the menu and they’ve always obliged. No guarantees though, but never had an issue myself. Best Mac and cheese on property! 😊
