Does it ever surprise anyone how long you can wait on hold for?

I know today is a busy day since it's the day 2015 rates come out, but I've been on hold for 20 minutes so far. I guess there are 2 schools of thought. The 1st being, it's the 1st day 2015 rates are out, of course it's going to be long waits. Then there's the 2nd - This is WDW, the most popular vacation destination on the planet. Is it really acceptable that one should have to wait 20+ minutes to speak to a human being? Coming from a customer service background, I can't fathom ever working for a company that would allow customers to sit on hold for so long.

Depends...if it's insurance or utilities, 45 minutes would not surprise me. Is it acceptable? No way, but what else can I do?

For Disney, should be well below 10 minutes. If this is the first day that anyone can book 2015 I can expect that time to triple. What are they supposed to do? Hire a bunch of extra reps just for this week/month?

How long did it take?
