That's pretty much my take on it. I don't go to WDW to worship trees. I go to see what is there. Some trees are nice to add to the beauty, but, really... I can stay home and look at trees and I surely do not pay that kind of money to see them at WDW.Doesn't phase me one way or another.
I don't see where it will ever bother me. I know that they are taken out for a reason, even if I don't know exactly what that reason is. We talk about WDW being so cheap that they won't spend money on anything, yet, we can all casually never ask, then why are they spending money on that for no reason. Someone said that and it is true they have a history of replacing large trees with smaller ones when they are blocking views or are causing the forced perspective to be thrown off.So for all of you who don't seem to be bothered one way or the other, at what point WILL it become a problem for you? Or will it never matter how much they remove? Need to put those "I don't care" comments in context.
Yes, we'll be discussing this 5 years from now, and yes, you can be sure there'll be less trees then than now.
It's a pretty erroneous statement that in five years there will be less then now. If you look at the historic pictures of WDW since it opened you will find many instances of tree removal and replacement with different and usually smaller trees. Much ado about nothing!
