Does it Bother Anyone Else?

Doesn't phase me one way or another.
That's pretty much my take on it. I don't go to WDW to worship trees. I go to see what is there. Some trees are nice to add to the beauty, but, really... I can stay home and look at trees and I surely do not pay that kind of money to see them at WDW.

So for all of you who don't seem to be bothered one way or the other, at what point WILL it become a problem for you? Or will it never matter how much they remove? Need to put those "I don't care" comments in context.

Yes, we'll be discussing this 5 years from now, and yes, you can be sure there'll be less trees then than now.
I don't see where it will ever bother me. I know that they are taken out for a reason, even if I don't know exactly what that reason is. We talk about WDW being so cheap that they won't spend money on anything, yet, we can all casually never ask, then why are they spending money on that for no reason. Someone said that and it is true they have a history of replacing large trees with smaller ones when they are blocking views or are causing the forced perspective to be thrown off.

It's a pretty erroneous statement that in five years there will be less then now. If you look at the historic pictures of WDW since it opened you will find many instances of tree removal and replacement with different and usually smaller trees. Much ado about nothing!

Not as jarring as looking back at old pictures of the hub, and realizing how many trees have been removed over the years, but I understand the reasoning behind it. As far as a discussion five years from now?....I think most trees on the property will be safe, as long as they don't obstruct the view or sightline involving fireworks, parades, or shows in front of the castle.

OK. There's pretty much been fireworks of one type or another since day one. Same goes for sightlines.

Why is it just recently that this is a problem and the reason for removal? I don't necessarily disagree with the reasoning (honestly, few of us know the actual reason(s)), but why wasn't this a problem that should have been solved even before it began? No one who works for Disney realizes that trees grow?

And yes, it's REALLY sad to look at pictures from before, say, 10 years ago or more and see what things used to look like. It's either always been some type of problem or it's not (to be able to use the reasons stated). Otherwise, I would assume there are other reasons we don't know.

I like the new look myself as you can see the whole castle but I'm guessing I wouldn't have noticed either way had it not been pointed out.

It seems nearly every decision they make recently bothers me on some level.

I'm sure they had a great "reason" but it was probably cheaper to just remove them to to solve the problem in a creative way. I liked it better before, but can't say it bothers me too much.

It bothers me more that they are allowing EPCOT and DHS to slowly die.

Edited to show what Disney Parks executives see.
Oh, wow, a joke about how Disney is capitalizing on a popular property within the theme parks! How humorous! And original, too! I bet NO ONE here has EVER come up with a joke like that before!

I have absolutely no problem with capitalizing off Frozen. I just don't agree with how they're doing it.

Not big enough.
