Does Disney own land....

I live on the west coast of Florida in Hernando County. I was talking to a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and he was telling me that Disney owns a large amount of land over here. The conversation started because we were discussing all the road construction going on over here (road widening and such). Has anyone ever heard of Disney purchasing land over here, near the "Weeki Wachi Springs" park. The only thing I could think of is a possible DVC resort. We do have a great view of the sunset!!!!!:drevil:

I've always heard rumors about Disney owning some land at Myrtle Beach as well. Does any one actual know what all land that Disney does own? Do they buy up land just in case they want to do something in the future? For example, the land that they are selling back in Lake County. I know originally they had plans for it, but they hung onto it for a while before selling and I never knew they owned any land there (of course that's not saying much).

I remember hearing something about Disney owning land in Texas also.

I wish Disney would by all of Myrtle Beach rip it down and start over, that place is so tacky and disgusting. That might just be my opinion though. But, still Disney in SC i wouldn't hate this state nearly as much.
