Does Disney enforce age for kids meals?

Very simple Jenn.... they set the age limits for a reason and asking questions about the best way to lie about it to save money.... That's why Jenn... Don't like the age limits don't go.... It's like the thread in the hotel section.... Yes, they care about swimming after hours or they wouldn't have signs... yes, that even means you and your special darlings...
Let me guess...no kids yourself?

My son [now 20] was absolutely thrilled when he turned 10 and Disney considered him an "Adult"! :hilarious:

Dad wasn't as impressed... :cautious:
We went through the same thing. Our DD was so happy to be an "adult"...my wallet...not so much

Do you dine with a large group? It must only be certain restaurants then. I do not remember automatic tips on my bill.

Also in regards to tips... I do not get the general tip = % of the bill thing? I am basing my tip on the servers attentiveness to my table... why should I pay more if I order a Lobster instead of a burger if the same exact service was provided?
Did you ever wait tables?

It doesn't matter if I have or haven't waited tables in the past... the idea of tipping is based on service of the waiter/waitress NOT the cost of what they are bringing me on the plate.
Ok, so if you get a twelve dollar burger and have great service, you might leave a ten dollar tip? Guessing no...you must be a real fun date. I'm sure your local favorite restaurant has waiting staff falling over themselves to serve you when you walk through the door.

I understand where you might think that is the case...which proves you have never waited tables, and that's ok. If you did though then you would know that all servers get taxed based on income from their tips and this number is based off of how much food they served sales wise. So if a server served $1000.00 worth of food in one night, their employer assumes they made at least 15% of that in tips, ($150.00), and they then get taxed on their paycheck for 150.00 in income. So it does matter unfortunately.

A tip is something that is EARNED not an automatic gauranteed thing. Tipping is based on level of service provided to my table. Not for me to make up the difference based on what the waitstaff deal is with the restaurant owner. Being friendly and very attentive to my table when we order burgers and sodas will get you a good tip accordingly. However, not being attentive and forgetting to check up on us, forgetting items, etc when we order more expensive seafood dinners, will get you a not so good tip accordingly. You earn the tip you get. May sound rough, but sorry thats just the way it is.

Once again, I have never said how much I actually tip... but that doesn't really matter here either.

First of all, let me just note that this is not the subject of this thread, which you hijacked on July 17.

Secondly, no one ever suggested that they know what you tip. Any inferences were due to the fact that you complained about having to tip differently if you order lobster or a burger (or something).

Several people, including myself, responded accordingly, and the rest is history.

Finally, "guaranteed" is spelled thus.

And if you didn't read the above story about the Applebee's waitress who got stiffed for no reason, here is the photo of that customer's check, which makes me crazy. Grrrrrrrr.

Hey I saw what your original reply was...just for the record I don't assume anything about you except that you've never waited tables and I even said that was ok. I was just trying to explain how tipping/taxes work is all. I figured maybe if you knew how they were taxed that maybe it would make a difference in your opinion regarding tipping for a burger vs. lobster. That's all :)
