We have come to a time when superhero films have been brought up to date. Films like Man of Steel, The Dark Knight, and all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have taken superhero films and made them more action-packed and gritty. When Warren Beatty made Dick Tracy in the early '90s, he was playing it off of the superhero films of the time, especially 1989's Batman. So the question is, do you think a newer, grittier Dick Tracy film could be made in the coming years?

Highly doubtful.

Does Disney still have the license?

A futurist '30s story would be especially weird since we now actually have two-way wrist televisions.

I personally am totally up for a Dick Tracy reboot. Especially a gritter, darking Tracy. I mean, have you READ the original comic strip? It gets frickin' dark sometimes. But I find it unlikely. I hear Beatty wants to do a sequel now that he has the rights back but I would prefer a reboot
