Does Carousel of Progress close early?

I ask because we're due to arrive in Orlando at 12:30pm, then I figure we'll get to Pop and check in by 2:30-3:00, get lunch, take a nap, and head out to the MK for EMH. The park closes at 11pm that night (3/9/08) and if possible, I'd like to hit CoP first thing. But does it close earlier than everything else in the park? I thought I read somewhere that it closes at like 7pm, but I'm not sure and I can't find that thread.

If I remember correctly CoP is open as long as the park is open but, it may not be open at all when you are there because it is open seasonally. Unfortunately, the crowd that attends this attraction has diminished dramatically over the years so it's not always open. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is open for my trip at the end of January but, I think it's highly unlikely for me. It was open for us at the end of April and I sat through it 4 or 5 times. I just love it!

we went on it a couple weeks ago at around 10:30 or 11pm on a night the park closed at Midnight. So I believe it is open till close, at least during peak season. And yes I had to drag my hubs on it... I love that ride, I truly hope it never ends up in the Disney graveyard. It's just so Walt :)

During our last trip earlier this month, it was not listed on the daily Times Guide, which means it's open the same hours as the park. However, that could change at any time. I would recommend checking at the Concierge desk after you check in to get the most current information.

COP is not on seasonal status anymore. Last time I checked, it was on the regular map (thanks to someone pointing it out to me. :D ) and is currently open regularly. You should have no problem seeing it.

I think people are under the impression that it is closed(open seasonally) because there is very rarely anyone standing in line. I haven't seen anyone ride it in a long time. Come to think of it the only time I have seen anyone there is when the Buzz meet and greet is going on.

For a while Fast Pass machines were spitting out a surprise Fast Pass for COP. FPr's got to use the right turnstile and enter the right side of the theater first instead of the left side of the theater. It is a shame that they have to do this and put a sign out in front of the TTA.

Awesome, thanks guys! I knew it wasn't seasonal anymore, but I could have sworn I read that it closes at like 7... I wonder what I am thinking of
