thanks. i knew of the accident, but didn't realise that it was the fundemental factor in the cancellation of guests being able to ride up front...what a shame

Got to do this in the very late 70s. The driver was cool, actually let me drive it... Well, i got to push the handle forward and in my book i got to drive it... :king: Maybe that is the reason i always preferred the Mark 4 monorails.

We just returned from WDW and although you are still not able to ride up front, they are still handing out the "pilot's licenses" to the kids...but calling them "trading cards" AND they are giving you monorail pilot's wings (stickers)!
