Does anyone knows what will they do with the space in Fatasyland where 20000 leagues under the sea used to be? Wouldn't it be great if they built The Materhorn on Magic Kingdon in this space? By the way, why does The Materhorn were only built on Disneyland? Sounds like a great ride! Don't you guys think so?

Epcot? Ow no! It is am excelent ride to fit in Magic Kingdon...can't imagine the Matterhorn on Epcot... Well, but I guess Epcot is diverging from it's original purpose anyway.....I still belive that Matterhorn should be where it were designed to be: on Fatasyland. By the way, why they are thinking of placing this atraction on Florida only now?....it is on California for such a long time and although I never been there, it sounds like a great ride.

There have been several rumors about new attactions including the current lagoon, and those with the lagoon being filled in. They are all rumors and WDW has no current plans to do anything with this large space except for the current part used for Ariel's Grotto and the Character Meet and Greet area.
Personally, I wish they would do something with it, but alas, we will wait and see. The only current MK project is Philharmagic and you can search for the thread on that.

As nice as the Matterhorn may be, I feel that Disney doesn't need to replicate every famous ride they have at every park. Rides that are only at certain parks make that park unique, and give people more reason to visit both parks, rather than just one. The matterhorn is one of the only things that maked Disneyland unique.
Instead of making another at WDW, I think they should use the money to build something totaly new and creative.

I think the rumor was the new country would be like Switzerland?(I think) and they would put the Matterhorn in as it's ride! I think it sounds really cool but as we said before we don't need to replicate every ride! I wish they would put it Alice in Wonderland ride in at WDW though I love that ride!
