Does anyone know when Cars Land in Disneyland Opens?

This year, we're going to WDW on a Grand Gathering. Next year we are doing a land/ sea package.

In 2012, we'd like to go to Disneyland to see the new Cars Land. DS has been a huge Cars fan for years. Does anyone know what month they *project* for the opening?

DH is from Chicago, so ideally, we'd like to drive some (if not all) of Route 66 on our way to Disneyland. Obviously a trip that long would take some serious time and planning, so that's why we'd like to know when we need to arrive in Cali!

June, 2012 is the month widely discussed by good online rumor sources, as well as mentioned at fan events by Disney officials.

I'm sure if it opens in June, it will be CRAZY packed until at least late July. Do you think if we planned to arrive in early August it would be calmer by then?

You need to be reading Al Lutz columns on Miceage to understand Disneyland demographics better, as those demographics are not what you think and you can not use WDW crowd calendars for Disneyland. Do NOT go on days when Annual Passholders are not blocked out. Do some research on Disneyland.com to find blockout dates for APs. Good luck.

Do you think Cars Land will be packed when it opens? I'm just thinking about reports of the opening of Harry Potter World in Orlando. No way can we wait 9 hours just to get IN to Cars Land.
