Does Anyone Know What's Up With Big Thunder?

I check the wait times all the time, even when I'm not at Disney. I've noticed that Big Thunder has been down for four days straight it seems like. It just got a refurb so I didn't think it was getting another one, but I checked the refurb list anyway and to no shock, it wasn't on there. Anyone know why it's been closed so long!? And sorry if there has been an ongoing discussion about this. I didn't bother to look.

Summertime. Rain pretty much every afternoon. Not to mention lightening.

Probably lightning. If its within range, all outside rides will close.

There were several outdoor attractions down earlier this week due to inclement weather, including BTMRR. Everything opened back up after the storms cleared. This has been a wet Summer, and lightning always causes closures. No biggie.

I just checked the app and all outdoor attractions open, but Big Thunder is still closed. Maybe the app is malfunctioning?

A friend working in Frontierland tells me the "lift chain" that pulls the train up the hill broke. Bad day in FL even Country Bear was down for a while she says.

Perhaps the rain made the chain rusty, and a lightning strike caused the final blow. See, it all comes together in the end...

They're closing Thunder/Splash/TSI for the massive Frontierland Expansion....in which they will extend Splash and Thunder...and build the Western River Expedition...Of course...I heard that from my cousin...who's brother is dating a lady who's second cousin's brother is roommates with a bus driver....
