Does anyone know the budget for the seven dwarves mine train?

I am starting to think this ride is going to blow people away. I know people have said they think it's a d ticket. How do you figure? It's got 2 lift hills, indoor and outdoor audio animatronics and the scale of the attraction is similar in size to thunder mountain. This is going to be an e ticket and not because of thrill but because of the new ride system that no one has yet to experience and all the indoor and outdoor scenes. Plus I am pretty excited about the kinetic energy this will create in the MK. Let me get some feedback here.

I'm definitely more excited for this ride than any other ride Disney has built in a long, long time. I'm just hoping they can live up to expectations and deliver a quality ride for the whole family, not just little kids.

When i first heard about this ride i thought it was going to be a childrens coaster but ever since i've heard that it's a larger scaled coaster i've been pretty excited for this. Sorry, but i'm not sure what the budget is.

*shrug* I'm looking forward to this attraction and think it will be a valuable addition to MK, but I'm keeping my expectations relatively moderate on this one. It should be a good ride, but I'm not expecting to be blown away.

Sounds quite realistic. I think it will be better than the current Snow White attraction but it will not be on par with something like Splash or BTMRR.

Will it be better then Harry Potter is the question? It needs to be compared to new park rides in the local area updated or created new in the last 5 years. I am of the mind that so far nothing comes close to HP in WDW created in the last 15 years in terms of an immersive experience. In fact most rides at Epcot specifically have reduced the immersion for thrill.

Seems like it will be a great attraction with the amount of space it will take up, the AA's and the "newly patented" ride vehicles with rocking & swaying. I think it will have a lower height requirement that BTM being that it will be in Fantasyland. They did say it will be "between Big Thunder Mt. & Goofy's Sky School", so we'll see. In any event, I'm excited about the whole thing. (yes I do miss Mickey & Minnie's houses)

But... as far as the original question, the budget, I don't know but I hope it's large!

Better for little kids? Maybe, due to the low height requirement.

In every other way? Come on. Nothing is gonna come close to Forbidden Journey for years.

The budget should be whatever the budget was for Cinderella's chateau, Aurora's Cottage, and Pixie Hollow combined. I don't think there has ever been an exact figure released. I agree, this is the most exciting project at WDW since Everest. (:

to be honest the only good thing about forbidden journey was the ride system. the story was not that good (magical flying bench come on LOL) some of the scene were cool but the AA's and other props were not that good. the queue was well themed but it was not original( it was previously created as sets for the movie). indiana jones in DL would be its disney equal
so with this idk it will be that hard for disney to make an equal or even better ride!
all disney needs is a good, strong, popular, franchise!!

im picturing 7 dwarfs mine train between TM and GBS but more TM
saw some where that it was around 3 million (not 100%)

This will be a fun attraction i am sure. Major improvement over the current ride and I am sure the theming will be top notch.

$3 million? No way. It costs Disney $3 million to install a drinking fountain nowadays.

$60-70 million?

I found the plot of Forbidden Journey to be quite reasonable within the world of Harry Potter. Enchanting a bench so that it can fly seems reasonable. What was more of a problem to me was a lack of a clear vision throughout the entire land over whether or not we, the guests, are muggles or wizards.

idk about 60-70 million, maby for all of FL?

in the potter ride/land they clearly state that we are visiting muggles and the magic realm was opened for the first time to muggles

The only part of the attraction that needs an overhaul is the dementor section. Talk about laughable after you get a close look at them, there nothing more than nerf footballs in cloth.

Clearly stated? I was under the impression that they were then allowing some of these "muggles" to get wands at Ollivanders and create magic?

The ride then starts with Hermione asking us "muggles" to recite a spell to make the bench fly (at least that was my impression).

I found the distinction less clear.

your argument is true about olivanders( if you have ever seen santa clause 3, jack frost opens the north pole to kids from around the world, and the kids make ther own toys, not the elves(sort of like us getting wands, also the wands dont work) the entire time i was in WWOHP i felt like i was in santa clause 3 it was all about making money lol:ROFLOL:) not that im supporting WWOHP, but Hermione just threw Floo powder at us while we said observatory( we used the floo network to get to the the observatory, the floo powder was doing the magic)the bench was already enchanted before the rider gets on it. just one quick question did you go to WWOHP? because in the queue of HP it is said many times by the portraits that they were disgusted that Muggles were let in to the magic world
