A few years ago I had one. I don't know where it got to. It had Small World, Pirate's Life for me, stuff like that on it. I actually bought it at the stores. Anyways what is the best one? Just a CD with the parks songs on it that's all.
I just ordered this set a few weeks ago, and it is fantastic. Nearly 8 hours of park music, area noise and on-ride audio. It's based on Disneyland specifically, but most of the tracks will be familiar to WDW fans.
However, I don't believe Disney sells it anymore, so it's only available secondhand at a heavy markup. I think it's worth it personally.

Man, I LOVE that "A Musical History Of Disneyland" boxed set! It's the pride and joy of my Disney Park Music collection, as it is so thorough and has complete attraction soundtracks and "ride throughs" from most of the attractions! Like you said, since there is overlap between DL and MK attractions, a lot of these attraction soundtracks are for MK attractions, as well! I love how it's sequenced land by land, as if you are taking a full-day tour of the park (past and present), almost in "real time", but with no lines!
One thing about the Amazon price: I don't think it's too bad - I'm pretty sure I paid more when the set first came out and I got it directly from the parks, than the $ 91.68 Amazon is asking for a new copy!
That's what I like too. You start out with Walt's opening day speech, head up Main Street, circle the park (hitting current and past attractions) and end up right back in front of the castle for the fireworks at the end of Disc 5. It really does feel like a day in the park.
