And failure is failure..:

…the new stuff is catastrophicInstead of converting it, why not extend that land with OG characters? Give them their own space with rides, and create a land that incorporates both timelines. This would add more rides, character experiences, etc. Will that happen? NEVER. But that’s what I would do if I were in charge.
That's why I think expanding the land with OG characters is a good compromise. They don't have to admit that Galaxy's Edge was a mistake, and they can make fans who wanted the OG characters in Galaxy's Edge happy. It would also improve guest experience by expanding the land with more rides, shows, etc. But again, they will never do this.…the new stuff is catastrophic…to be honest
It’s a company run by ego and bad business models now…so to do any “expansion”…which they avoid like the plague…doesn’t fit
If they modify the land…it’s an acknowledgment of failure. They won’t do that. so they’ll let it rot and claim victory instead.
one thing I really don't like about Disney. If they modify the land…it’s an acknowledgment of failure. They won’t do that. so they’ll let it rot and claim victory instead.
By adding the classic characters…it’s an automatic admission that “bobs Star Wars” can’t stand on its own. That's why I think expanding the land with OG characters is a good compromise. I honestly think Disney is done with Star Wars Land for the parks
And then disappeared entirely when it spectacularly failed.one thing I really don't like about Disney.
Yeah also the Starcruiser ruined so much for us as a lot of the plans for the land went to a new MASSIVE paywall that no one wanted to pay.
Post return of the Jedi would sell……..not only a misfire but lousier aim than stormtroopers.
We needed both a viable script for a proper launch and a superb execution of the land——neither came close
Galaxy’s Edge with its post Return of Jedi setting was poorly conceived and its execution I’m afraid was ever worse.
In short big wig ego at the expense of honesty
The problem is Bobby will never admit defeat…even as they sink and founder most of the times these daysThe three obvious solutions are:
1. Complete re-skin of the land to Return of the Jedi. All the OT main characters are still alive and you get Ewoks, Jabba, Vader, etc. You can still have the Mandalorian and Grogu and nobody is going to complain.
2. Have the timeline shift throughout the park day. Early in the morning you get walkaround characters from the prequel trilogy. In the afternoon you get original trilogy characters. In the evening you get characters from the sequel trilogy.
3. Different days mean different walkaround characters. Monday and Tuesday are prequels; Wednesday and Thursday are sequels; Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the original trilogy characters.
Personally, I would pick option #1, but I'm 50 years old. Regardless, any of these three options are better than what we currently have.
Even still…they really did a good job building that landTo be fair to Disney, I thought SWGE was the worst land in Orlando and could never be touched, but then Universal decided to create a land around a HP spin-off, that nobody liked, set in Paris, that transports you to the British MoM (which goes against that mode of travel) when the F&F area was just sitting there ready to be incorporated into the Greater London Wizarding World...
