Does anyone else eat junk food in place of dinner at the Magic Kingdom

I have issues with food: I LOVE IT TOO MUCH!!

When in Disney I tend to eat, eat, overeat, and throw in some more food for the heck of it. Hey, I'm on vacation! (When at home I do watch my intake). What can I say? There's too many goodies at Disney that I don't allow myself to have at home.

With that being said, I tend to snack AND eat dinner.

Sorry folks, my tummy seems to be unending...

We rarely eat in the parks if we're not on the Free Dining plan. I gotta say though, we bought an ice cream cookie sandwich at Sleepy Hollow before the midnight MSEP last night and that thing was abnormally large. Literally twice the size of the normal one they give. It took all four of us to take that beast down.

...oh I should have mentioned: snacking is best when shared. My party usually shares all snacks, for example, popcorn, cinnamon rolls, ice cream sundaes, etc. Sometimes we choose two snacks to share between 3-4 of us. I feel like I'm able to cover more 'snacking ground'. :)

I usually just eat to not starve to death at Disney. Everyone I've ever gone with is only worried about saving money, and I don't like to eat in front of people not eating...especially if it's money reasons. So, this trip, I'm eating everything I want. I plan to come back plump and happy.

Amen! I went with friends one year who did not plan their money appropriately. I kept telling them to save and that Disney food is expensive (unless they were bringing snacks of their own, I knew they would be in trouble). Anyhow, I starved that trip because I felt bad eating in front of them. On top of that, my friend and her bf got into a shouting match by Aloha Isle because he splurged on a Dole Whip (which was not an appropriate use of money in her view). Long story short: I will not do Disney with them again.

Now I travel with people who plan appropriately and are ready to eat! :)

Junk food no but I would happily eat a lamb shank (although I wish they offered applesauce) :hungry:! I have never really been enamoured of the dinner offerings at any of the restaurants at MK...breakfast and lunch, yes but not so much a sit down dinner.

We do that also, we get to try more things that way.:D

I have ended up with a dinner consisting of popcorn, cotton candy and diet coke. I guess now days I could add an iced coffee to that thanks to Starbucks!

Magic Kingdom is by far my least favorite park when it comes to food. Not a big fan of the turkey legs there as well. I've had a better experience with them at the stand in front of The American Adventure. I always have park hopper when I visit so I'll jump to another park quickly for dinner or make a stop at one of the nearby hotels. If I do get hungry while waiting for the nighttime festivities, I'll grab a quick ice cream or something.
