And my motivation is that I don't have thousands of dollars laying around (unfortunately), but I don't want to charge anything either! LOL

Hubby has several wallpaper ideas he uses when our trip gets closer.

I've been rotating WDW wallpapers on both of my monitors for a while now - usually one is a photo from the resort where we're planning to stay, or where we've just stayed, and the other is a view from World Showcase. Between that and the constant streaming of theme park music I get some strange looks from coworkers, but they're used to it by now...
I have our home computer screen saver set up to cycle through our past wdw vacation photos as well!

My hubby thinks I'm crazy, but I know secretly he is just as happy as I am!
When I actually book our trip I go into "Disney mode". We have several things that keep us motivated to save and excited about our trip. First of all I get the kids in on the action. We have one of those coin banks that keeps a running total of all the money you put in it. We tell the kids that it is THEIR spending money when we go. They are pretty craft at finding money for it. It is just change and not bills so they go on searches......cars, laundry room, grandparents pockets/purses, anywhere they can find it. My son even set up a "magic show" at our last family dinner and charged a quarter per magic trick. He took all that money and put it promptly in the Disney "bucket" as we call it. He is old enough that he understands that value of money and can do the math to divide the total by 3. He is constantly updating his brother and sister about how much money they will have to spend on their next trip.
Next, I run all of our bills through our Disney Visa to rack up those reward dollars. These are our living expenses so everything is paid off right away. Crazy how fast those dollars add up and how awesome it is to take a rewards card to spend instead of cash.
Next, our Visa debit card through our bank uses visa reward (not disney related). So....I put our living expenses on our disney visa and pay it off with our visa debit. I earn points for BOTH! The visa rewards awards are useful because I redeem them for gas cards to pay our gas.
So...paying bills actually makes me smile because I am EARNING money for Disney.
And next....I always have the Disney countdown calendar updated on my iPhone. Every time I look at my phone I can see how many days out we are. Even if I don't the exact date of our next trip I have a pretty good idea so I put in a date close.
Next money saving thing.....we NEVER have cash on hand. Paychecks get directly deposited and bills get paid online. No need for cash. BUT.....if I ever do get cash for something.....someone paying me back for something I purchased for them, birthdays, I have to get cash out for something, etc......I make sure I put some away in my secret Disney fund. It is fun to count it when we get close to our vacation time.
And finally......yes......Disney wallpaper on my computer. That's just the icing on the cake.

I would like to change the wallpaper but it's a closeup photo of the dog and he won't let me. Our family room however looks like a Disney Store. The Big 5, Princesses and Tink everywhere.

I mostly certainly do that! Sometimes it'll be of the resort I want to stay at or one of Downtown Disney. I don't think of it as torture, it is ALWAYS motivation for me.

I have the wallpaper on my phone Disney related.... my last phone was the lighthouse at OKW....the new phone is a shot of the Boardwalk as seen from my balcony last trip.... sometimes I will just take out the phone to look back and remember.... New phone in July...next trip soon after...what will my new wallpaper be????
