Does a lion king land sound cool for Epcot or better off at animal kingdom?

Since the new movie is a big hit I was wondering could we see an African country themed to the lion king and a e ticket attraction like a lion king dark ride one day or is this better off at DAK?
Most likely in DHS as it feels weird to me as the Lion King plays a big roll in AK as the movie has been their most successful one with the “animal” genre. If you know what I mean. Including Rafiki’s tree (Tree of Life) is the centerpiece and j suspect it could come into the Africa area and maybe could replace the walkthrough zoo as the safari is better and the normal zoo part makes no sense to me and takes up a lot of space besides some cool animals.

I'm biased because The Lion King is my favorite Disney movie out there, but I would absolutely love a true Lion King E-ticket. Perhaps that briefly rumored Jungle Book boat ride concept could be adapted...

Quite frankly, given the sheer popularity of The Lion King, the film is underrepresented in the parks. At least compared to other films. DAK is a great fit.

How about a show that involves singing, dancing, and giant animal animatronics? You could call it "Celebration of the Lion King", or "The Lion King Festival"?

Or how about a puppet show adaptation? Call it "Saga of the Lion King", or "The Lion King Legend".

Legend of the Lion King was exactly that when it ran in Fantasyland.

Why are modern day WDW fans so ignorant of what Epcot is meant to be? But I guess it's hard to blame the incompetence when the Company itself has ruined the park.
Because things change. Because it's not something that today's consumer deems important.
I guess I'm one of the ignorant, I really don't care what Epcot "use" to be or what it's meant to be.

But back to the original question, my vote would be AK

Because, the Internet. ;)

I used to always but heads here with a certain member, imagine my surprise when I discovered he was a co-worker. Take that as a cautionary tale.
Well at least then you can really but heads. I'm just glad I made it thru high school before the internet became a thing.

It is at least represented by the best live show in the parks.

As a WDW fan - thus a park fan - why not ask yourself what you wish EPCOT or DAK to be, then how to further its identity and story and fun in this manner, then if a certain IP is a good means to this end?

Why do people on forums have to put down other people? I guess it's hard to blame people since they can hide behind their screen name.
I wasnt trying to be demeaning, I was asking a genuine question. Epcot used to be one of the most inspiring theme parks in the world. A hallmark of everything great about humanity. Now its reduced to nothing. I'm just curious as to why people are so unconcerned with its fall for glory. The original mission of the park is still such a needed message today.

Would be best at AK if at all. There was, of course, a proposal for Equatorial Africa in the original Epcot World Showcase plan. So it would fit there, as well, I suppose.

That's the thing though. You see it as a fall from glory. Plenty do not. You're looking down on others for having a different opinion.

With Epcot being around for almost 40 years there are many people that dont know much of it's full history. It is just a theme park to many people. There is nothing wrong with wanting to inform people about the park and what its goal was on opening day. The problem I have is when we call people ignorant and incompetent just because they like the current direction of the park.

Step 1 is to stop calling it a theme park. It’s an amusement park now.

"Big hit"? 52% on Tomatoes is NOT a hit. Yeah, it made money. So what? I'll bet Disney could sell blivets if they had the fab five on them.

But if you're going to say that a Disney movie that made money should get a land, then there's a LOT of other IP deserving of their own lands before a lackluster remake.
