Just a worried mom. I have a 5 year old who is very outgoing. I'm nervous about doing any drop offs at the kids clubs.

I am a very overprotective mother of a 5 year old girl who is friends with everyone...and I would not have a problem..

We went in May on the Dream...and though we did not leave her there because she likes being with us..we did stay in there with her and play and watch her play..and she would have been fine and I would not have a worry..:D

When your child leaves, they scan her bracelet and then scan whoever picks her up card, the card is attached to whoever the parents approved of picking the child up when they register, so if the person who picks her up is not on the list..when they scan that card..they will see that and not allow them to take the child!

They have tons of counselors all over playing and watching the kids..and the exit and entrances are watched at all times and the kids can not leave without the parents or guardians.

I assure you that you can be ok with leaving her, I would have left mine and I am a crazy overprotective nut of a mama when it comes to my daughter..:D

Absolutely. We left them many times when they were young. The child to counselor ratio is huge and the counselors are thoroughly vetted.:)

Both of my boys (9&5 at the time) cried like there was no tomorrow..... when we went to pick them up. They would have spent the entire cruise there if we let them. Never felt worried at all!

No
My son would have never seen me at all if he had his way... He was genuinely disappointed whenever I went to get him.

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!
No worries whatsoever!!!

We just had our first cruise and on the lead upto it the little one spent hours looking at the oceaneers lab and club! She could not wait!

The guys and girls running them are amazing!! We are from Ireland and there was one Irish girl minding the kids named Aisling and our little one thought she was just AMAZING!

They even met in the terminal after the cruise and she ran to give her a hug before we left!!

We have been to wdw multiple times and because of The Oceaneers lab/club she likes DCL better!

You will have no worries and your kid wont even think twice about leaving you to go, the only problem is trying to get the kids to leave the lab/club!

I don't see anything different from going to the YMCA and leaving the child in their play center for two hours while you work out. I am sure everyone that comes in contact with your child has gone through a rather strenuous background check.

I would have had no problem, except my kids would page me all the time, just to see what I was doing. Then they could compare it to what they were doing and what was more fun.

Most of the time, what they were doing was more fun, but they have this urge to make sure they are not missing out on what I was doing. So, after a while I just took them out of the clubs.

As far as security, concselers, facilities, safety, etc. No worries at all.

I am only 15 and we just got off the Disney Dream. The Club and Lab were so much fun that I actually went WITH my little brothers (7 and 9)! :ROFLOL:
