Do you think Disney will expand anything now that they own Lucasfilm?

I expect we will soon see Star Wars on Ice at your local state fairgrounds, the tree house in WDW will be transformed into an Ewok tree house, the tiki room will become a Star Wars Cantina, and expect a mile long wait to do a meet and greet with Princess Leia and Amidala... One can only hope Leia is in the slave outfit and not the white dress... Otherwise... Nope, no real changes because of it.

There were rumors going round that the back of Discoveryland (Tomorrowland) at Disneyland Paris was going to be turned into a Star Wars sub land and with this news it now seems almost certain. They just need the money to do it.
Oh, I remember that! As an AP of Disneyland Paris, their Discoveryland could certainly use the boost. Star Tours there is very outdated, Captain EO is...Captain EO (I've rarely seen a line at it, and it operates only a few days a week now) and they have room to build. If it's successful there, I can imagine it going into other parks. (Shanghai? Florida?)

Heading for the great escape.
No, this is a deal about movies not theme park attractions. Unless of course the rumours were correct and it was only Disney being cheap that had Lucas blocking approval. How well does that bode with Lucas out of the way.

Just pondering.

Keep this in mind..According to George Lucas..there is no underwear in space...only gaffer tape, the white dress may not be so bad afterall!!

That isn't entirely true.Disney already has plans for a Marvel attraction, but not in Walt Disney World. Disneyland is going to have a Marvel attraction in Tommorrowland where Innoventions is currently. Really, I highly disagree and I think everyone else on here does too. lol

Walt Disney World can't have any Marvel attractions because of the nature of the existing contract Marvel has with Universal. The contracted stated Disney can't have any Marvel attractions east of the Mississippi.
I "think" I recall hearing something about the first part of your post awhile back but not too sure about the 2nd half.

They didn't spend $4,000,000,000 in cash to just own the rights and not do anything. I'd imagine now that it's official, we can expect to have a lot of announcements in the very near future.
Sweet first post yet you are 100% wrong on all of this.
1. It was not 4 billion in cash.
2. Very near future? I'll bet you a trip to Disney there won't be anything Star Wars added to the parks in the next 18 months.

wow. 100% sure is a whole lot of wrong. I'm sorry, it was over 4 billion, and I'm pretty sure I just said "announcements", not attractions. But it's cool though.
