Personally I love the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. I must ride it several times while visiting WDW. I was thinking, though, that it might not be a bad idea to add this type of attraction to the other parks or maybe one other park. It wouldn't have to keep the same name and could be themed to coincide with the theme of the park. Any thoughts?

I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up! I don't know if it would fit though. It's a great idea and something to hope for, but I don't ever see it happening because it's so unique to Tomorrow Land. Maybe something more like sky buckets or something in each park, or a open-windowed monorail type thing! :p

I don't care for the idea. I like having it as a unique ride. Just think, everyone complains about having 3 dumbos. Imagine having 4 TTAs.

I don't think it would work anyway. Major demolition and reconstruction would have to be done in order to allow the new rides entry into the buildings like the TTA has now. I can't think of any rides that would be able to accomodate having a TTA in the other parks.

Epcot has the monorail loop, so it doesn't need one. The other two parks aren't very accomodating. You can't see distances in AK and MGM isn't based around a central hub really.

I don't know what it is about the TTA, but I love it! I think it would be neat to have one at Epcot or MGM, and have it wind through the rides there!

Personally I would LOVE to see more rides like TTA in other parks...but it aint gonna happen.:(

Besides the enormous COST of such a project, imagine the DISRUPTION in the parks and all the areas that would have to be shut down while building was going on.:p

I'm all for ANY ride than cools me down and lets me sit for awhile at Disney World. :animwink:

WDI could make it work, but it probably wouldn't happen because there's really no need for it other than to please us diehard TTA fans. I'd like to see it integrated into the 5th theme park somehow. Imagine a 21st century update with everything you've ever imagined for that ride! The possibilities are endless.

I'm so glad to see there are so many other TTA fans out there (I used to think it was strange that no one else mentioned it, but now I see its following).

hooray for the TTA! :sohappy:

AK would be the place for it. If used for the Safari ride it might pay for itself as it would reduce the number of Cast Members needed for the Safari. I would guess it would shorten the waiting line considerably also.

It would have to be enclosed so guests don't get eaten:D

Kings Island used to have a Safari ride. They used a Monorail for it. I'm not sure why they got rid of it. Probably not enough riders as you had to pay extra for it. Also as KI is seasonal I doubt they could justify the cost of operating an animal park within a park.

while it would cut down on CM's needed to operate vehicles, and allow for more people to move through it per minute, i'm not sure they would be able to theme it as well as the curent vehicles. they just seem to have a more natural, 'driving though africa' feel. i don't think that affect would be accomplished as well with a TTA type system.

i think it would best fit in (theme wise) in Future World, but i don't know that i am convinced that there is a need for one. i guess as long as we have the one in Tomorrowland, i'll be content.

Oh, I am defenetly for more peoplemovers. You have to keep in mind, though, that the ride wouldn't just be there to "ride" on, it could really be helpful to the parks.

At Epcot, I thought it would be cool to have a people mover circiling Future World, (and mabey World Showcase, although it wouldnt fit in as well). It could go through each of the attractions, and while doing so, explain little tidbits of what the attraction is about, and could tell guests with what the attraction attempts to educate you with. For example, going through Universe of Energy, it would explain future ideas of energy sources, and how they might fit into our everyday lives. It could also exlpain how some of the ride is powered by solar panels, you know, little tidbits like that.

I know that a lot of people run and hide when they hear the word "education" at Disney, but I think that educating guests with the ideas for the future is the soul of Epcot, and a people mover ride could help very much with this. The quick monorail loop around the park doesn't do this.

At AK, it could be used in some of the walking trails, for those of us who are too lazy to walk through it :animwink: . The omni mover system would work even better, here. Mabey it could also be used at the Studios, giving a tour of something or other in the studio. I know this would all be very expensive, but I think that it would be very cool, especialy at Epcot, and not just as a ride

TTA

They should put it in the parking lots, so there would be no need for trams that come and go every 5-10 minutes.

OF course, that cuts down on available jobs, and thats not a good thing. Then again, who wants to be driving around in the hot sun ( I would, if I got to play with the microphone on the back).

HooRAY for the WEDWAY! (PEOPLEMOVER, THAT IS!)
