Do you need to get an email or can anyone get a FP+ for Be Our Guest Lunch?

It might have been a me glitch ;)
Omg! Tried IE on desktop instead of Windows 8 and there it was! Not on the online check in, but on another screen where you can modify check in!!! Honestly at this point it is more about conquering the res number than actually eating at BOG!

I click on the link, sign in and it gives me choices from Dec. 21-27 for lunch. I've clicked each date but get the response that no FP's are available. Is this because they are all taken or do I have to wait until 27 days from the date that I want to go to get a FP? The date that I want falls between December 21 (check in day) and January 9 (we leave on Jan. 10).

Dates open up 27 days in advance. For example, today you could book for November 29, tomorrow for November 30, etc.

I just logged in and it only gave me within the next week as the window. Am I missing something? I'm at WDW 11/29-12/3. I'm 26 days out. Maybe you need the email to reserve 27 days out. Otherwise, anyone can reserve within the week they log in.

Got the email this weekend for Thanksgiving week and this is going to fix my two iffy situations :)

At first I had been trying for a BOG dinner (regular reservation) on Sunday night because we've never been and it would have fit nicely with our plans (Rainforest breakfast AK & at some point midday hop to MK and we'd need something else to eat). I heard about this and thought to try for (hopefully) an late lunch instead. Nothing available.

So, problem #2 was Tuesday we have fastpasses for 7DMT but I could only get one at 3:00 something which put us clown-fishing from MK out to a Grand Floridian Cafe lunch and then back to the park for that ride.

I was able to get a BOG fastpass lunch for Tuesday so no clown-fishing to ride 7DMT and cancelled GF Cafe Tuesday and (probably because it's in a resort not the parks) easily made a new reservation for GF Cafe for early Sunday dinner before we go into MK.

We didn't pre-order the food for BOG though, but it is still an option. Does it really make any difference if you do that?

We are staying the same dates and I was shown all my dates, but only the first 2 have availability right now. Fingers crossed for tomorrow- I am wanting Dec 1 but today only nov 29-30 show times. Also, talked with IT bc it shows my husband and myself twice, and my son not at all. They told me as long as I order 3 meals it should come out ok. Assuming I find a time. My DH is shaking his head wondering why I am putting all this time into a lunch reservation!

Did you get an invite (I modified my post as you were replying)? Maybe you only get the 27 days out if you get an invite. I've been before with an invite. Don't have one this time.

No invite, although I thought you were supposed to if you are staying on property? The IT guys said I should be able to choose from all days 28 days from arrival. I can't. Wish he could have just sprinkled pixie dust and made them for me:)

I'm staying at All Star Sports. No expanded window shows up for me. Just now until 11/9. (1 week in advance).

Your AP is causing the system to be glitchy, which is why you can only see the next seven days. You do not need the invite to book. Keep trying, but worst case scenario you wait until the week you are going, your AP will allow you to book at that time.

It happened to us and we were able to book the week of.

It may be looking at the 11/10 expiration date of my FR seasonal pass, which could explain reservations only through 11/9. I renewed it last week, though. But going to reservations and tickets in MDE shows two passes--one that expires 11/10/14 and one that expires 11/10/15. Maybe once I get to 11/10, it will look at the new pass then dates will open up?

Just booked our 12/1 BOG Lunch :-)

Conflicting responses on this one.

When we were there 10/25, we did not have pre-order, and waited 45+ min in line.

We continuously saw others checking in, and going right to tables. When asked a CM, we were told "They pre-ordered".

So this time around for 12/1, we have pre-ordered, and will experience first hand what the situation is.

The reason i say conflicting, is in other posts, some are saying they pre-ordered and had to wait in the same 45+min line. SO I don't get it....
