Do you like Tomorrowland Speedway/Autopia?

It's an attraction I've never bothered to ride at any of the parks. It's theming doesn't appearl, it's ride experience seems limited and, to be honest, a bit dull and it always has a long, slow-moving queue.

What do other people think? What's it's appeal to you?

I absolutely love it (even the sound and smell), it just brings me back to my excitement of riding it as a kid. But without that attachment, I totally get what you're saying (not very futuristic for Tomrrowland).

I've long defended keeping it around for nostalgia's sake, but recently I've started thinking that with current crowd levels, there just might not be enough room to do that, and I feel myself bending that I would be ok re-purposing that area for some new attractions.

I did it once when I was like 21. It was fun but sadly I had developed a nasty case of what turned out to be tendinitis in my foot during the trip (never...sandals...again) and then I was elected to operate the car with that foot. Ouch.
But it was fun. It was a nice one and done experience for me.

We don't mind the sound or the smell. The issues we have is that upkeep on the cars is soooo bad it takes away from the ride. You end up slamming from the left to the right because the steering is shot. My 12 DS went from loving it to hating it.

Yes
Not really, there are better go kart tracks in Orlando that are actually worth riding as their equipment is better maintained, the tracks are varied. Clutch your perls, but Fun Spot has WDW beat for karts.

I do like it. Once you get out of the loading area it's actually quite nice and you get to see a relatively unpopulated area of the park. I really enjoy driving around the back part where there are lots of trees and no people. So although the ride itself is not very exciting, the overall experience is quite enjoyable.

UGHH...YES! While riding in February I turned my attention away for a second and the wheel whipped to the side and really hurt my thumb!

I thought the speedway was boring when I was a little kid, and now it's just something to walk past on the way to something more interesting. It won't hurt my feelings to see it go.

I've never liked the speedway. I didn't find it fun even as a little kid. Too boring. Not much to look at, the constant banging against the rails, and I hated the smell. At least Autopia in Disneyland has more to look at and a more elaborate layout.

Hate it more today than before...can't wait to either see this overhauled or torn to pieces for something far better.

It's fun for the younger crowd to get to drive, fun for the older crowd to see the views. We have found it especially fun at night, it's cooler and less crowded. Even watched the fireworks while in line once. I think it's part of Disney's appeal that they keep rides like this, alongside the newer and more updated. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water lol.

It's noisy, smelly, has a slow, boring queue, and takes up a ton of land. I wouldn't shed a tear if it left. If they wanted something similar, a clone of Tokyo DisneySea's Aquatopia would be much more welcome (or at least a more highly themed version like Treasure Hunters at Universal Studios Singapore).

I like it for sentiment sake, but after my daughter gets to ride it for the first time this trip, really won't miss it a whole lot.

I love it, because it's one of the rides my DS will ride and actually engage with. He has severe sensory issues and is speed averse too. Speedway is ideal for him so I like doing it with him, he becomes pretty animated on it which means I know he's enjoying it.

Noisy, ugly, slow, and boring.

I'd rather have nothing.

Actually I'd rather have a Sugar Rush overlay and a fleet of electric karts, but nothing is fine too.
It would be kind of cook if they took the concept of a top notch roller coaster like Tron in MK, and instead changed it to a Sugar Rush roller coaster. That way you could actually travel at fast speeds. Maybe have dueling tracks...

Never thought it was worth the amount of real estate it took up. Disney should have/ could have scrapped it and designed some attractions that more guests could enjoy.

I enjoy the Disneyland versions but not WDW at all. Isn't the current speedway 1/2 or at least 2/3 it's original size. It was reduced for Birthdayland and Fantasyland 2.Ewww.

I say close it. You can't spend money if your on attractions.
