Do you have a tattoo?

I have two. Got my first at 18 years old, my second at 27, and I'd like a third, and then I'll call it quits.
They're not really permanent. I mean they only last as long as you do.

I have 7 piercings that I don't wear anymore (2 left ear, 1 right ear, both nipples done twice each)..... but a tat has been tempting me... i've always wanted one. I'm probably going to get on my back my parents names/epitaphs and their years of birth/death, as well as some sort of nationalistic one involving a Spain and PR flag.... and leave some room there for when I get a kid..

It's true some areas are more sensitive. It's uncomfortable, but not really painful. No worse than giving blood.

I have two, one took 2 hours, the other less than 30 minutes. I've had them both for over 10 years. No one can ever take them away from me, i'll have them forever. It used to mean something to have a tattoo, be it bad or good, now tattoos are no big deal, it's become common place.

My friend got one on his upper back and a tiny part of his shoulder. He said that his back didnt hurt all that much but the tip of the sword on his shoulder hurt soo bad.

I agree with some here, the permanent thing doesn't appeal to me and I also don't like the idea of my tatoo getting wrinkled when i'm old!

I've done the henna at Epcot and I think I'll stick with that.

Seriously, I found those photos disturbing rather than cute and cuddly.

Went to the blood bank today. The question on the history form asks if you've had ear piercing, tattooing, etc. in the past 12 months. Presumably you need to wait at least a year to donate again.

From what I've heard, tattoos hurt the most on bony parts of the body. So it stands to reason that a "tushy tattoo" would hurt much less than one on the shoulder blade or ankle.

My wife was this --><-- close to getting a henna tattoo at the moroccan pavillion in EPCOT on our last trip but chickened out.

(She feared it would last too long for her peace of mind)

She found the mendhi henna kit I got for her a few years ago just last night while cleaning up in my office, I asked if she was throwing it away and she told me "No, I am waiting for a wild hair one day to make me actually do it."

Henna is sexy.

Mine's not lasting quite long enough for me. I've had it for about a week and a half now, and it's faded a little, and on the inside of my wrist (where the paste had cracked a bit as it dried) it looks broken. Of course, if I had done it at home where I didn't have to weave in and out of large crowds of people while it was wet, I would probably not have flexed my wrist enough to make it crack like that.

Now I've been wanting some paste of my own. I really like this, but I'd like to decorate myself next time, and from what I've looked at online, I should be able to get a whole bottle of pre-mixed paste for less than I paid to have this bracelet applied. I'm still checking local stores. I don't want to resort to ordering and waiting unless I absolutely have to.

I like to impulse shop.

I got my wife's at a place called Kruz in New Orleans. I am guessing any shop that deals in middle eastern goods would have it though.

If I haven't gotten any by the next time I go to New Orleans, I'll look for it. Of course, that could be months. (Unless my co-worker comes through with those LotR tix, that is....) I just called my local head shop yesterday (my town doesn't have any ethnic grocery shops AT ALL) and they think they have some in stock, so I may swing by there on Monday and see.
