My first trip to the 'World' with my daughter, we weren't 'in the know'. After a few days of quick service, we craved a nice sit down meal. I will never forget going to the check in desk at Coral Reef in early December @ 6:00 on a Monday evening and requesting a table for 3. The hostess asked 'For when?' I said "Well, now" and she laughed at me and said they didn't have an opening until February!! My friend informed me that she made ADRs for every meal, every day of her stay. She wouldn't go to all of them, but if she WANTED a nice meal, she could show up and get it. I took her advice, but have tweaked it over the last 9 years. We only do Tusker House for breakfast as a treat, but we have ADRs (and go to ) a nice sit down dinner every single night. We tell the kids that all day is about them, and the nice, relaxing dinner is for Mommy & Daddy. It gives us all an energy recharge, and is nice down time. I bring the kids books in my backpack, and they read before/after their meal, so we can take as long as we need to enjoy ourselves. Last year while waiting to be called at Le Cellier @ 6:00, a family walked up to the podium and requested a table for 6. The hostess asked 'For when?' and the family replied "Now". The hostess laughed and told them they didn't have any openings for six months!! Memories!!
