Do you bring your pet(s) to WDW?

Not sure if this the correct location for this but here we go! We brought our dogs to WDW for our two most recent trips. They stayed at the Best Friends Pet Resort both times. It has taken such an edge off our trips since we can see them every day and even watch them on the webcam if we can manage to get the VIP suite booked. They used to stay at a great place at home but we found ourselves wanting to get home to see them as soon as we left to head to Florida. Just wondering if there are others who do the same thing for more than just a day trip and if it has improved your experience. We will not do it any other way. They travel very well and our 12 year old (we were down there for her birthday!) has been bouncing around like a puppy since the trip began and several weeks (still going including today) after getting home. Apparently dogs need vacations as much as people! They are booked again for our spring trip. So let's have it, there must be more than just us who feel similarly!

My wife really wanted to do this last time, but we would of had to fly our dog down with us, which would be an extra $100.00 each way. Plus, I believe if we did this we would have to arrange for different transport than DME, I am assuming they would not let us bring the dog on the bus.

We are fortunate enough to have a college-age niece who stays at our house and puppy sits when we travel. We pay her nicely and the dogs don't have their routine changed too much. These two are missed while we are gone.

We are bringing our dog down this trip. He is staying at Best Friends for 5 days then going home with a family member as we finish our trip. Definitely looking forward to having him there and the prices at best friends aren't even that bad. Got him a vacation villa but might do a VIP suite since some are still available.

The VIP Suite is so worth it! They stayed in one on our most recent trip. We are on the waiting list for our Spring trip, they only have 4 of them.

Reason #8464 that we do not fly anymore.
