Do it yourself Soarin'

I was just playing around with Google Earth http://earth.google.com. There's a function that allows you to "fly" over landscapes, and I started thinking how this is sort of like Soarin', but you can do it anywhere in the world.

i have had that program for a while and did not know that. can you tell me how to use this feature?

Just use the compass in the upper right hand corner like a joystick, and you can fly around. I just flew from the Grand Canyon to Napa Valley to San Francisco, then down the coast to LA.

Im glad im not the only one who spends hours messing around with google earth
