Make sure you go online and download a few WDW points of interest collections. They are a lifesaver.Thanks for all the help. I actually have already booked a car. I dont like driving in unfamiliar places and DH refuses . To the poster who mentioned a GPS, I plan on bringing my Tom Tom.

As someone who rented a car on a WDW vacation for the first time last week, it was easy as pie to get around WDW. We did a bit off property too, and I barely needed the GPS as there were signs all over the place telling me where to go... and they actually pointed to the right place (a rarity around here!)Thanks for all the help.
