Do I need a credit card to check in?

Hi all,
I'm coming on a solo trip at the end of August. Usually when we travel we use my husband's credit card if one is needed upon checkin- I've never travelled solo before! I don't have a credit card- do I need to get one for Disney, or would a debit card suffice? Also, how much money would be put on the credit card hold?

They’ll accept a debit card. It’s usually a $100 hold.
