Hello, I am sure this has been asked before but here goes. I am considering going to Disney in June with my parents and my son. Problem is my son and I can arrive early in the morning and enjoy a day at the parks and my parents who live on the other side of the U.S. won't be in till the night. Can we all use DME even though we are in two groups? Is there a special process since most likely I will have the coupons and they won't? Can they just go to the counter? Thanks

Yes you can. Just make sure that you give Disney the flight information for both parties and you should not have an issue.

Also, unless the process has changed (and I know they were looking into the possibility), the DME booklet and luggage tags will only be mailed to the person who's name the reservation is under.

So if the hotel reservation is in one of your parent's names, they will get all DME material, and it's up to them tt mail you your luggage tags and bus vouchers. (The bus voucher isn't quite as important, as they can reprint it at the DME desk, but it wouldn't hurt having it in-hand)

(Or reverse all this info if you're the one whose name is on the hotel reservation, and you'll have to mail them their tags, etc)

I have a stupid question which I should know but my mind is drawing a blank, when adding your flight info on the disney website, for the dme, if your taking a connecting flight, do you put the original flight number your taking off from or do you put the second flight number that your connecting from in?

Enter the flight that lands at MCO. All Disney cares about is when you arrive, not when or where you started.

And there are only two reasons they request the flight information, anyway, neither of them very meaningful to most of us. The first reason is so that they can plan staffing and buses ... they need to know about how many people are arriving at about what time and going to which resorts.

The second reason is just in case your flight gets very very delayed and arrives into the wee hours of the morning. This is because the DME area in MCO is scheduled to close at 11 p.m. unless there are flights set to arrive later than that, whether they are scheduled to arrive later or they are delayed from their normal schedule. DME is tied into the airlines' and airport's computer databases, so they automatically know if a flight will be arriving later than 11 p.m. Even if your flight is delayed for many hours, DME will be there for you.
