I've never been in Toontown Fair, but I have been Disneyland's Toontown, which is quite wonderful. In fact, the Roger Rabbit ride there is one of my most favorites in the whole park (right up there with Big Thunder and Pirates)! I also like to visit Mickey's house.
Anyway, after I heard about Toontown Fair being scrapped for the expanded Fantasyland, I felt crushed, because for all of its shortcomings in the eyes of the theme park nuts, I still feel that it's one of the homes for Mickey. It may not be THE home for Mickey, as the backstory for this Toontown vs. Disneyland's insists, but it's A home nevertheless. Sorry, but no one, not even Disney fans, really cares about the whereabouts of Mickey's "real" home.
So anyway, I was disappointed to see it closed and Mickey and the gang being relocated to Main Street. And I've been trying to come up with a replacement for this Toontown, either at the Magic Kingdom or even over at the Hollywood Studios. Then I saw the doodled created by steve2wdw, and I thought it looked amazing how they got to the land BELOW the cast member route. I think that's an amazing picture there. However, I would have a different kind of Toontown so that it isn't an all-out duplicate of Disneyland's.
