That car was created for use in the YOAMD grand marshal pre-parade, so its original decor was very generic Disney:

Hence the Mickey tire tread that remains on the car to this day. It's much better looking in its Five & Dime incarnation than it was for the pre-parade - just hideous.

Very cool, thanks for the fun fact. I guess that makes a little more sense now, and I agree that it looks better in its current form. Still though, subtlety clearly wasn't one of the million dreams
