I thought a thread dedicated to all the events for DLR's Limited Time Magic would be useful. Even more so for some of the smaller events.

01|12|13-According to this thread Lunar New Year will be held in DCA this year while DL will have a Valentines Day thing.

12|30|12-Also Mouseinfo is reporting that New Orleans Bayou Bash! will return on Jan 18th, it will probably be grouped into Limited Time Magic, similar to Three Kings Day

Thanks! I hope Tiana's Showboat Jubilee returns as with New Orleans Bayou Bash!. I would thrilled to see the full show on the boat instead of the land version that returns every year.

Edit- I don't think a full return of the Jubilee is possible at DL since the Mark Twain is out for refurbishment for 3 months. Oh well land version is better than nothing.

I updated the first post with some useful info the general dates of the events and the actual event days.

The Disney Parks Blog announced the return of New Orleans Bayou Bash!

Princess Tiana’s Mardi Gras Celebration – Princess Tiana, Louis and Prince Naveen make their way through New Orleans Square to the Rivers of America, where a musical celebration takes place featuring tunes from Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog.”

Jambalaya Jazz Band – The popular band will perform their jazzy tunes along the streets of New Orleans Square.
Royal Street Bachelors – This Disneyland favorite will be found at the French Market Stage, and will be joined throughout the day by Princess Tiana.

New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band – Throughout the day, a rousing Mardi Gras procession will burst onto the streets of New Orleans Square. In traditional “second line” style, an umbrella dancer leads the mash-up of colorful performers and musicians.

Character Greetings at Court of Angels – Princess Tiana will be greeting Disneyland park guests along with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy in their Mardi Gras finest.

Also according to this thread Lunar New Year will be held in DCA this year while DL will have a Valentines Day thing. Looks like there will be lots of overlapping events in the next month.

Long Lost Friends Week is coming up at WDW soon; any word on DL? My entire opinion of this promotion will be based on whether or not they take the opportunity to introduce the Oswald walkaround at DCA.

More accurately: Aimed at locals. I was lucky enough to get in on the GH Revue because I'd already planned my trip. Being an AP meant I could have the dinner [it was a great show, the dinner was nice, but not fantastic].

Locals with annual passes. I'm a local but I wouldn't buy park tickets for these events, and I bet I'm not the only one.

I had the dinner too, I enjoyed it. I gotta listen to the whole cd one day when I have time.

Not very much at all but it seems that Golden Horseshoe Revue, New Orleans Bayou Bash!, and Lunar New Year were announced 2-3 weeks before the kick off dates. Although New Orleans Bayou Bash and Lunar New Year have both been around for a few years now. Of course these 3 are pretty big compared to the events so far at WDW.

March 12 is the grand opening of Fantasy Faire.

In 2013, both parks will continue offering up smaller new entertainment changes. Coming up this May, Disneyland will kick off a new concept known as “Small World Celebrations”, where a different country is honored in both parks over a long weekend with displays about its native culture, arts, and cuisine. The first country to be feted with a Small World Celebration will be Greece, with authentic Greek dancers, musicians and artists on display at Disneyland in the Small World mall, while DCA features Greek celebrity chefs who will give cooking demonstrations in a miniature version of the old Food & Wine Festival. Mickey Mouse even gets in on the act and will appear at the events wearing a custom made Foustanella, the traditional costume of Greece. This will be the first time Mickey has ever appeared wearing a Greek Foustanella, and TDA will be heavily marketing the weekend event to both Annual Passholders and the Greek-American community in Southern California.

The first Small World Celebration will arrive for Memorial Day weekend this May, and then additional countries will be featured in late summer and fall. The Small World Celebrations in 2013 will tap into the marketing dollars of Limited Time Magic to help spread the word, although the Celebrations are expected to continue far beyond 2013 and the end of that rather forced Limited Time marketing campaign. The Small World Celebrations are bundled under the administrative banner of what TDA calls “relevancy initiatives”, which is a newer TDA team tasked with creating one-off or seasonal offerings that keep the park experience fresh for returning locals and plus up the visits of casual tourists.
