Interesting, I wonder if it was closed yesterday?(Oct 1st) It's closed today. Maybe to reconfigure the queue which I thought was a mess in front of the chalet with the wheelchiars, single rider, and such. That could probably be done over night.

Agreed. I was actually hoping they'd add padding to the bobsleds, but I don't think two or three days is enough for that.

Some big hitters this Jan, Big Thunder, Fantasmic!, and Grizzly River Run.

Starcade is partically closed for the installation of the "Wreck it Ralph" meet and greet.

Star Tours is currently under reduced capacity, one cabin at a time.

Holiday removals for Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Ranch are on the same dates.

Primeval World a scene on the Disneyland Railroad will have a refurbishment, last year the final scene was refurbished.

Fantasmic! goes dark for a little more than a month, seems to be a yearly tradition now.

Mark Twain Riverboat is out for a few months

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be out for quite some time nearly all of 2013.

Big Thunder Trail has a handful of small refurbishments, I'm guessing pavement work to finally get rid of the colored slurry pavement.

Silly Symphony Swings has another refurbishment

Grizzly River Run will experience a nearly 2 month refurbishment. It just completed another multi month refurbishment in 201.

I imagine that some more might pop up for Spring 2013 still? I hope not too much. I'm ok with BTMRR being down, we're actually hopping to hit more of the minor attractions this go around.
Also, with Mark Twain being out, will Columbia be operating? Not sure if that one is only seasonal or not...

Above is the whole current and upcoming refurbishments.

Plan very carefully as you might hit the closures of 3 mountains(Thunder, Splash and Grizzly) and 2 nighttime spectaculars(Fantasmic!, World of Color and no fireworks on the weekdays) plus the closure of it's a small world.

The newest added to the list-
Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes
it's a small world, a lengthy refurbishment this time, as the holiday removal only takes about 2 weeks this is much longer though.
Splash Mountain, it's last major refurbishment was a 5-6 month back in 2011

World of Color, has a total of 8 days with no showings.

I'd imagine there will be a handful more added to the list. Also Columbia usually picks up the slack when Mark Twain is out, so you'll still get a boat. With Fantasmic! having a shorter refurbishment than the Mark Twain look for the finale without the boat.

OC Register is reporting some minor changes to Indiana Jones Adventure. Reopens on Dec 8th.

I've never heard of the finale without the Mark Twain, do all of the characters still come out at the end? Maybe on TSI?

Rumor going around is that the Imagineers went in to work on Indy during the refurb and there are some nice changes coming. So it wasn't just the maintenance refurb we all were told it was going to be. We shall see!
