Whilst I was digging through some old footage for my next edit, I came across a recording I made in May 1995 of Disneyland Paris` Space Mountain (opening the following month). Although the actual launch looks nothing like this one theming-wise, its still a good ad.

Uploading the .wmv now to Distro, size 11162k / 10.9mb

Is that the 95 ad that goes up to Sm and then says Your greatest encounter and so on. Cos that was on the Pocohantas 1995 vid and so i wish just so much that they would place SM:M2 ad on a Disney DVD would be so cool.

Must dig that out... I don`t remember...

This one is in the style of a new report all round Europe, with `Mission Control` having a countdown - very hi tech and what not. The launch is in a silver cannon - nothing like the real one!

PS dolbyman - the SSE 86 vid is up at Distro now. Told you it was big!!

A little secret; I`ve also done the Vic Perrin version (Actual 1982 recording, simulated return to earth since no video exists of it) and I`ve just started a whole new edit for the current (Irons) version & Global Neighbourhood. I also have a wonderful `website` now (LOL - Hardly; more like a page or 2) where I can centralise my video listings etc.

Check my signature. If you do look, let me know it works will you? Cheers.

I hate to thread drift....but I can't wait to see the Perrin version. Of course I never saw this version because I wasn't alive yet. Does anyone remember what was different from that version and the Cronkite version that I remember somewhat.

Can't wait to see the Perrin and Irons videos!

The Perrin version, so far as i can tell, wasn`t that different from the Cronkite version - SSE closed for less than a week. The audio is of course totally different, some minor changes in Network Ops, and the return to earth showed techie images from round the world. As I said, this is all simulated with information I have researched about what the ending was really like.
