The reason why the lagoon has not been drained is because the goverment has designated Disneyland Park as a "Safe Haven". In other words, in the event of natural disaster, nuclear war or attack,Disneyland Park can safely house and feed up to 82,000 persons for three days. The water in the lagoon is filtrated and can be used for drinking(with additional treatments) and other emergency uses!
Isn't that crazy!! Anyone know if this is the case for the sub. lagoon at WDW?
