Where do you go first at DL?

We are rope-droppers, and we always go to Fantasyland first at MK because we want to hit Peter Pan, storytime, ariel, etc. before the lines get too long. Should we keep the same strategy at DL? What do you do?

We have a family of 4: DH, me, DD (9), and DS (5) - I think the only ride my kids won't do is Space Mountain, but that may even be negotiable on this trip. ;)

Thanks for any and all advice!!:):)

FYI - I'm gonna do a sister-thread for CA Park Strategy, so please weigh in on that thread too :):)

I think you have the right idea of hitting Peter Pan first since there is no FastPass. You'll have to check out the other upgrades Fantasyland dark rides have gotten for the 60th too!

The mountains are ALL a must...and most definitely PoC...soooo much better than WDW version! Utilize your FastPasses when you can. There isn't as much planning at DLR...it a different environment altogether, so be sure to take the time to soak it all in.

FL is the best place to start. Those rides are lower capacity and nothing in FL has FP so it is best to knock it out early. Peter Pan is first stop followed by Alice in Wonderland and then the rest of FL.

The kids will like ToonTown and since it sits all the way in the back it can sometimes be forgotten. Roger Rabbit can get long lines so I would hit it up earlier in the day. Roger has FP but I recommend do standby at least once. It has a great queue.

Something that may help the kids out with SM is there are 2 seats per row instead of singles at WDW so you can sit next to them. There is also audio on the ride and much smoother than WDW's version.

Make sure you hit up Indy. Don’t be surprised if it is broken down at least at some point during the day. It’s almost always down at least for a short time every day.

Just so you don't get confused: Ariel's Ride is located at Disney California Adventure, not in Disneyland (Fantasyland), but there are never big lines for that ride so don't worry about that one.

Peter Pan, then Adventureland, New Orleans Square and Critter Country. Utilize FP for the things in Tomorrowland and hit the rest of FL after the fireworks and Fantasmic! are over.
