What do you have against captain america?
Well Captain America did the worst internationally, in individual markets, out of the Marvel film Universe films.

Oh, well i thought it was goodWell Captain America did the worst internationally, in individual markets, out of the Marvel film Universe films.
Well, I'm sure the world doesn't have the same amount of love for Captain America as we Americans do. Hahaha. What do you have against captain america?
Yes the characters are very well known, Marvel as a company however is much less. Even some americans are unaware of the company.HaHaHaHa
Good one you do realise the world in general love's Marvel characters(apart from maybe Captain America) right? Same with loads of the international markets hence why there is a Spiderman ride at Universal Osaka.
They know Marvel hence why Iron Man South Korea box office was $25million+, or why the UK box Office was $33million+.
They know the Marvel brand otherwise Disney wouldn't of bought them - especially considering they want more pressence in the BRIC countries.

To us of course it seems that way, but there are so many people who are unaware of it.Marvel has been around for decades. If Marvel is unknown to some Americans, then so is Disney.

It actually does. I can provide you a true example.Same goes for Disney, then.

At Disney On Ice once I was at the merchandise stand. I asked the sales person for a Mickey Mouse figurine. He asked me who that was. I had to explain who Mickey Mouse was, at Disney on Ice.
There are a lot of clueless people in the world. Superhero translates into every language and is known by everyone. Marvel is a very popular company, but not the most logical choice for a name.

I wasn't arguing? I was stating my points and so was raven. He's a cool guy, why would I argue for such a stupid reason? I think it's more logical to not use Marvel as the name or include Superhero as well. If people here in Australia don't know what Marvel is (which a lot do) then Disney would have to take that into account. It's not just americans at the parks. And don't reply to this comment if your going to try and insult me again, you'll be nothing but a keyboard warrior. It kinda is when your branding a theme park - Marvel is attached to certain characters. And seen as we know they were doing strong R+D on a Marvel theme park, though those plans have possibly changed with Lucas buy out, they would of stuck Marvel in the name.
Using the word 'Superheroes' is a generic word and generic words don't sell tickets for people from around the world. Especially as most of the original characters are US pop culture icons and one could say thanks to the filmverse they are growing the brand international.
Hence why it is called DisneyLand as opposed to Disney's Magical Cartoon Land.
But you appear to like to argue for arguing sake. And just maybe no one in Australia knows Marvel and Disney are - but the BRIC countries do and I hazard a guess that's all Disney cares about barring Europeans - well we already know what Marvel is anyway.
