Does anybody remember when they had dj's at various places in the parks, back maybe 5 years ago? Anyone know why they were there and what happened to them? I thought they were great, especially since i wasn't 18 yet to go to PI.

Same here. Only at special events.

Plus, the disks they spin have been run through the Disney washing machine.

Picture if you will..."Rump Shaker"...Disney style.

I also remember one year I went there were DJ's at all the parks...I'm not to sure it was a normal thing back then...or if there was a reason for this...but it was every park...and I only saw this the one time...I remember the Spice Girls being heavily played at the time too...Personnally I did not care for it....although I like pleasure Island..I felt the DJ's detracted from the magic of the parks.

At the Studios in the summer of 1994 on New York Street they had a dj for the New York Street Party that took place each night. Also at the Studios in 1995 and I think 1996 they would have "Shriek Out" on Sunset Boulevard on some nights. It was basically just a dance party with a dj. Those are the only times I can remember djs being in the parks during regular hours.
