I have noticed people listing their distance to Disney in their signature, etc...

We are heading down in October and it will be about 450 miles from our door to Disney (driving). What about you?

It was 1168 miles from our garage in central Texas to Port Orl FQ which took about 20 hours. Thanks to portable DVD players I never had to hear the dreaded words" are we there yet" but I did get the "joy" of listening to my wife and our 3 and 7 year old daughters sing at the top of their lungs with their headphones on and all listening to different songs and different types of music at times. If it weren't for my ipod and control over the car radio, I would have been insane at the end of the return trip.

You people that live in Florida are so lucky. All we have here is six flags, Sea World and the NBA champion San Antonio Spurs.

I'm in Ft. Lauderdale and the drive is about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. No idea how many miles.
*Edit*
I just checked Mapquest and i am about 320 miles from the magic!

Roughly the same mileage from my little part of the Peach State. Care to share what city you live in? (If not, that's fine -- I understand -- Net Psychos).

Its about 1,100 miles for us.

If anybody wants to know just how far they are from their favorite resort plug in the address on mapquest & get directions. The last entry is the total mileage.

Just north of Cincinnati... about 947.9 miles or 14 to 15 hours from the world. As mentioned before, a DVD player makes the drive so much easier… for the kids and driver :sohappy:
