Disneyworld trip with a broken foot - do it or cancel the vaca?

So I have an extended weekend trip in November (Saturday -> Tuesday) planned for the family. Its a surprise trip that my kids do not know about and we'll be heading there to see the Christmas lights and as a birthday gift for them.

With that said, my daughter broke her foot yesterday (two bones), and she's now on crutches and will in all likelihood still be in a cast when the trip comes around in 3 weeks.

I'm contemplating cancelling the trip but first I'm looking for wisdom and advise about going to WDW with someone with a broken foot. She's 9 years old if that makes a difference.

If you decide to go (I would) consider either renting or buying a "knee walker" I work in an orthopedic office and every patient that uses these things absolutely love them. So much better to get around with than a wheelchair or especially crutches. She can sit on it when necessary for a break and no one will have to push her around in a wheelchair. Worth at least an inquiry ;)

I would definitely say go! I would call ahead and mention on your reservation that you will be needing a wheelchair at check in for your 9 year old who is here on a birthday trip who sadly broke her foot. Cast members will do everything they can to help and make her feel like a princess and that treatment won't stop for the duration of your trip. She may be a little limited, but I've been traveling with a family that usually uses at least 2 wheel chairs that they have been able to do -everything- including the rollercoasters.
