Does anyone know if the only way to get to the speedway is to use a taxi or not if stayin at one of the resorts? Thanks for the help!!

I'm pretty sure that there is transportation provided from the TTC.

If you've ever wanted to be behind the wheel of a 600 horsepower NASCAR Cup style stock car, the Richard Petty Driving Experience can help you live that dream. The track is located right next to the Magic Kingdom Parking lot as you enter. Enter the Magic Kingdom toll plaza, stay in the left hand lane and turn left at the Walt Disney World Speedway sign. If you are using Disney transportation, like the monorail, take the Richard Petty Driving Experience Shuttle from the Transporation and Ticket Center. The shuttle begins at 8:00am and ends at 4:00pm. It runs every 20 minutes or so.

The "shuttle" from the TTC is a Chevy minivan. We only noticed it because of the logo on the door. The driver was really friendly and helpful, though.

If your only going to the Richard Petty Driving Experience that day, then when you get to the gate tell them that's where you are headed. You will want to stay left all the past a big yellow sign that says "EXIT." It will seem as though you are leaving the parking lot, which you are. You will see a few drivers going straight instead of turning left, they are CMs going to the employee parking lot where there is a gate to get in. Anyways, after making the left at the "EXIT" sign, you will see the entrance to the Richard Petty Driving Experience on the left. You may have to pay for parking there if you didn't pay at the gate because you said you were going to the track. HAVE FUN!
